School Overview

Warnbro Primary School is an outer suburban school situated near the white sands and calm blue waters of Warnbro Beach. We are an Independent Public School catering for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. Established in 1973, we have a rich history, and traditions that span nearly 50 years. Our community serves approximately 290 students.

As your child takes their first steps into our school, you need to know that supporting your child is as important to us at school as it is to you at home. Support, collaboration and respect for each other underpins all of our relationships at Warnbro Primary School.

Our School motto is Strive for Success, with STRIVE forming the basis upon which our values are based. These values; Safety, Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Vision and Excellence are well reflected in all areas of school life and in everything that we do and apply equally to the academic, social, emotional and physical development of all our students. They underpin our purpose statements Create Wisdom, Inspire Minds, Connect People and Build Community.

Our school is a vibrant, dynamic and inclusive community of learners, where cultural diversity is celebrated. We have high expectations for our students, providing them with skills and confidence to be their best and achieve their potential. We are committed to encouraging and supporting our students to be curious and creative individuals balanced in their approach to learning and wellbeing, committed to sustainable practices; and positive contributors to our world. Our innovative teams provide a wide range of high quality teaching and learning opportunities. Teachers work together to ensure that learning is personalised to meet the needs of all students. Teachers encourage students to become responsible for their learning, providing regular feedback and opportunities for independent decision making.

We know that relationships are key. Not only our educator - student relationships, our student services team, and family partnerships, but also our connection to the environment and diverse school community, which are central to supporting student wellbeing and belonging so that students are ready to learn.

Our students benefit from open spaces, expansive ovals, courts, nature play areas, including our Ngulla Miya and playgrounds. Building upgrades include an Early Childhood Centre and an Arts and Science Centre. These upgrades complement our contemporary classroom spaces and collectively create learning environments where children flourish.

The Warnbro Primary School community, including school staff, school board, parent association, parent volunteers, families and outside agencies work together in many ways to ensure that all students have equal access to a high quality education. Warnbro Primary School takes pride in providing a safe and supportive environment with strong emphasis on high expectations around student learning outcomes. We aim to provide a range of programs designed to increase student engagement, extend our students who are achieving above expected levels and support those students who require additional assistance.
