The following defines the local-intake area of this school:

MOUNT HELENA PRIMARY SCHOOL (Government Gazette Dec 2008)

The following defines the local-intake area of this school:
From the junction of Bunning Road and Quail Street, south east to the junction of Whitlam Street and Frith Street, continuing south east to the junction of Elliott Road and Sime Road, south along Sime Road and its southern extension to Great Eastern Highway, generally south west along Great Eastern Highway to the junction with Lion Street, north west to the junction of Sawyers Road and Goodwin Place, west to the junction of Sexton Street and Oliver Street, north along Sexton Street to Riley Road, west along Riley Road to the locality boundary between the localities of Mt Helena and Stoneville, generally north along this locality boundary to Cameron Road, east along Cameron Road and its eastern extension to Bunning Road and north along Bunning Road to Quail Street. The boundary parts of Great Eastern Highway (both sides), Sexton Street (both sides) and Riley Road (both sides) are included within this local-intake area. The boundary parts of Sime Road (both sides), Cameron Road (both sides) and Bunning Road (both sides) are excluded from the local-intake area of this school.

The local-intake area maps are based on a written description of the local-intake area (LIA) for the school as published in the WA Government Gazette.  Although the map closely represents the LIA description, for some houses near the boundary (especially on street corners), it may be necessary to refer to the written description.  The street address of a residence is used to determine whether that dwelling is inside a particular LIA.  While local-intake areas for most schools do not change from year to year, changes may be made to local-intake areas as required.  Such changes are published in the WA Government Gazette and subsequently the local-intake area map will be updated.
