Full Fee Paying Overseas Students
Education and Training International (ETI) is the international marketing and development arm of the Western Australian government's Department of education and Training.
Its primary mission is to successfully recruit and enrol international students into Western Australia's public institutions: primary and Secondary Schools, Tuart and Canning Colleges and the ten TAFE WA vocational colleges.
Western Australia has 18 metropolitan secondary schools, 2 senior colleges, 2 country secondary schools and 1 agricultural college able to provide an educational program to international fee paying students. All government secondary schools are coeducational catering for secondary students from Years 8 to 12. West Australian government schools provide: a quality education system, and a caring and safe environment in which students can undertake their educational studies.
Additionally, ETI provides international project services for the Department and TAFE WA colleges and fosters strategic international alliances with national and international education and training providers.
ETI was created in 2004 to consolidate the previously separate international operations of the Department of Education and Training consisting of TAFE International WA (TIWA), the International Education Unit and the international operations of Tuart and Canning Colleges.

Gifted and Talented - Selective Visual Arts Program
The Gifted and Talented program is offered for the purpose of providing gifted and talented students entering Year 7, 9, 10 and 11 in public schools access to a range of programs that meet their specific talents.
As well as the extension and enrichment work in a special program area; students follow a normal course of study in secondary schooling.
The visual arts program provides an exciting environment for budding artists to develop their artistic abilities. Students learn through a mix of visual enquiry, studio work, exhibition and critical reflection. Gallery visits, sketching tours, special art camps and studio classes are all part of the curriculum designed to help students achieve their potential. A highlight of the program is contact with successful artists and crafts people who inspire and mentor the students in tutorials and Saturday studio classes. Students also benefit from exhibiting their own work and being involved with community programs.
