School Overview
|
Situated in the heart of the Great Southern Wheatbelt, Lake Grace District High School is a welcoming and inclusive school at the centre of a supportive rural community. We offer quality education from Kindergarten to Year 10, with senior students (Years 11 and 12) able to continue their studies locally via the School of Isolated and Distance Education. In our early childhood classrooms, we champion a rich play-based learning approach. Through purposeful play, students build essential skills, explore new ideas, and develop confidence in a supportive and engaging environment.
Our school is known for its caring and community-minded culture. The wellbeing of our students and staff is a key priority, supported through small class sizes, strong pastoral care, and a team of dedicated educators and support staff.
Student voice is embedded in our everyday practices, with learners encouraged to take an active role in shaping their school experience. Secondary students benefit from our comprehensive cadets program, which provides valuable opportunities to build leadership, resilience, and teamwork beyond the classroom.
Learning spaces are well-equipped with modern technology and contemporary resources, creating dynamic classrooms that prepare students for the future. Our staff work collaboratively to ensure every student is challenged, supported, and celebrated in their learning journey.
We are proud of the strong partnerships we have with families, local organisations, and the broader Lake Grace community. With the active involvement of our School Board and P&C Association, we are continually working together to create a positive and forward-thinking learning environment.
