Lake Grace District High School (4084)

School Overview

Welcome to Lake Grace District High School. Lake We are an inspiring school situated in the Great Southern Wheatbelt in a vibrant and progressive rural community. Our school vision - Inspirational and Aspirational - informs everything we do. We do this through our quality teaching and our caring community. We cater for children from Kindergarten to Year 10. Students in Years 11 and 12 have the opportunity to complete their studies on-site through the School of Isolated and Distance Education.

A positive sense of self is extremely important, which is why students' wellbeing always plays a key role at our school. We all take on this responsibility - and encourage you to be involved in this journey as well.

Your child will be able to explore and develop their understanding and learning across a diverse and exciting range of learning areas. These are designed to encourage their success while never losing focus on our key priority of improving literacy and numeracy. Your child will feel pride in their work, feel confident being themselves and build lasting friendships.

We are nurturing, caring and committed educators with high expectations, who use a range of learning methods, encourage children to take responsibility for their learning. We know the curriculum well and provide a safe and encouraging learning environment that monitors progress, provides feedback, and helps build positive relationships in our school and community.

Our community isn't just school staff, students and families, but also the wider community of Lake Grace and the surrounding areas. We benefit from exceptional community support. Children benefit from highly supportive teachers and support staff, low class sizes, access to a comprehensive range of resources and a strong focus on pastoral care.

You are encouraged to get involved in your child's education, either formally through the P&C Association or School Board, or informally through regular contact with teachers and the school community. We regularly communicate with you through formal reports, newsletters, parent interviews, website, class updates and the school's annual report.
