Newton Moore Senior High School (4040)

School Overview

Established in 1966, Newton Moore Senior High School is a proud part of the South Bunbury community. Known for its inclusive and supportive environment, the school is committed to providing high-quality education in a culturally safe setting, where every student is empowered to succeed.

Offering a diverse range of programs that reflect the interests and strengths of its students, our school motto, 'Achieving today for tomorrow,' reflects our commitment to prepare students for lifelong success, where every student is empowered to grow, belong, and thrive - both now and into the future.

Our KNIGHTS values - Knowledge (Kaaditj), Nurture (Kaaradjiny), Inclusivity (Ngalak wer warma dandjoo yaka), Growth (Maaladj), Happiness (Kwababiny), Teamwork (Dandjoo warniny) and Success (woola)- guide everything we do. As Knights of the Moore, students are encouraged to be courageous learners, respectful peers, and active contributors to their community.

Newton Moore SHS has two science specialist programs, Science Horizons and Engineering and these attract students from across the region and are supported by our purpose-built STEM centre. We also offer MASH (Moore Academy of Sport and Health) and have a Clontarf Academy for Indigenous boys and STARS Program for Indigenous girls. A thriving Performing Arts program also offers opportunity for music, band and dance with Bushranger Cadets promoting leadership and community service.
