The following defines the local-intake area of this school:

COOLOONGUP PRIMARY SCHOOL (Government Gazette Dec 1995)

From the intersection of Rae Road and Read Street, southsoutheast along Read Street to a point adjacent to the northern arm of Frome Way, in an eastnortheasterly direction from this point to and along Frome Way to Breaden Drive, south along Breaden Drive to Norring Street, in an eastnortheasterly along Frome Way to Breaden Drive, south along Breaden Drive to Norring Street, in an eastnorthereasterly direction between Raby Court, Lara Court, Greta Court and Rydal Court to the north and Tanby Place, Windale Place and Tbora Place to the south to and across Linville Avenue and Wilmott Drive to Grange Drive, continuing in a general northeasterly direction along Grange Drive to Ennis Avenue, northwest along Ennis Avenue to Rae Road and in a westsouthwesterly direction along Rae Road to Read Street.

The boundary parts of Read Street (east side), Breaden Drive (both sides), Ennis Avenue (west side), Rae Road (south side) and the boundary street of Grange Drive (north side) are included within the area for Cooloongup Primary School, while the boundary parts of Frome Way (both sides) are excluded from the area for Cooloongup Primary School.

The following is an optional area for Cooloongup, Bungaree and safety Bay Primary Schools:
The area bounded by Read Street (west side), Rae Road (south side), Waikiki Road (both sides) and Malibu Road (north side).

The following is an optional area for Cooloongup and Hillman Primary Schools:
From the intersection of Dixon Road and the proposed Garden Island Highway, westsouthwest along the proposed Garden Island Highway to Ennis Avenue, southeast and south along Ennis Avenue to Willmott Drive, east from this point to Mandurah Road and in a general northerly direction along Mandurah Road to Dixon Road.

The boundary parts of the proposed Garden Island Expressway (south side), Ennis Avenue (east side) and Mandurah Road (west side) are included within the optional area.

Note
The local-intake area maps are based on a written description of the local-intake area (LIA) for the school as published in the WA Government Gazette.  Although the map closely represents the LIA description, for some houses near the boundary (especially on street corners), it may be necessary to refer to the written description.  The street address of a residence is used to determine whether that dwelling is inside a particular LIA.  While local-intake areas for most schools do not change from year to year, changes may be made to local-intake areas as required.  Such changes are published in the WA Government Gazette and subsequently the local-intake area map will be updated.
