English as a Second Language Primary Cell Program
English as a Second Language/English as a Second Dialect (ESL/ESD) Cell programs provide support for newly arrived ESL students, students who have exited from IECs and ESL students who are enrolled in the mainstream context. Eligible students with a background of limited schooling are entitled to extra support. A stand alone ESL/ESD Cell program may be sited at one school or across two to three neighbouring primary schools. ESL/ESD Cell Programs have a dedicated ESL Cell Teacher and Ethnic Education Assistant(s).

12 Buckets Mentoring
12 Buckets delivers a first-class One-to One Mentoring Program. Tailored one-to-one and group mentoring is the core element for helping children to build resilience and work towards a brighter future. The 12 Buckets program focuses on areas important for overall wellbeing. The Guiding Buckets Model focuses on Belonging, Generosity, Mastery and Independence that are universal growth needs that support the social and emotional wellbeing and development of a child. The mentoring program helps children discover their capacity to give regardless of their background or circumstance.

AUSLAN
Auslan, or Australian Sign Language, is the language used by Australia's Deaf Community. North Balga Primary School teaches this language to children from Years Three to Six, as part of the school's commitment to a Languages program.

Chaplain
The Chaplain supports the emotional wellbeing of students by providing pastoral care services and strategies that support the emotional wellbeing of the broader school community by maintaining links with families and agencies dedicated to support positive family life.

Dance
During Term One, through the external provider, children in Pre-Primary to Year Three are provided the opportunity to participate in a series of dance lessons. In Term Four, children from Year 4 to 6 participate in a dance program. The program fulfils the Performing Arts and Physical Education and Health curriculum outcomes for the children and covers many other aspects such as coordination, musical appreciation and self-confidence, and gives many children the opportunity to experience the excitement of performing in front of an audience. Most importantly it is promoted as a program for fitness and fun.

Delta Therapy Dogs
A program that improves the quality of life through the human-animal bond, based on the belief of social, emotional and physiological outcomes of positive interaction between people and therapy animals.
This includes literacy development, pro-social skills, motor skills, to encourage attendance and increase motivation, increase social connectedness, and contribute to improved mental health outcomes.

Just Brass
In partnership with the Salvation Army, students in Years Three to Six have the opportunity to join the school's Brass Band which includes weekly small group and band practice at school under the guidance of a trained music teacher. In the student's second year and beyond, lessons take place at the Salvation Army in Lavant Way.

Playgroup
A playgroup for pre-school age children on Tuesday and Friday mornings with a focus on children's social skills development in a fun, play based environment. Facilitated in partnership with Child and Parent Centre Warriapendi.

Stepping Stones Three Year Old Program
A half day a week program, run in the Second Semester of the year, for three year olds and their parents to prepare children for school and to give information to parents in supporting their children's learning at home.
