Applied English and Humanities Program
The Applied English and Humanities Program enhances the educational experience of students by giving them access to opportunities such as debating teams, 'Write a Book in a Day', public speaking and writing competitions and many other experiences.
This new program in Years 7 and 8 has been designed to extend, engage and enrich student interest in the areas of English and HaSS.

Bush Rangers
All Bush Rangers W.A. activities and training are supported exhaustively by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) and the Department for Communities and Local Government (Office of Youth) who provide resources, materials, assistance, training, advice and access to specialist facilities.

Follow the Dream (FTD) is an Aspirant Program for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students at Hampton SHS. Students must be meeting benchmark targets in attendance, grades and behaviour to be eligible for FTD.

Gifted and Talented Dance
The Gifted and Talented Dance Program enrols students with recognised ability and talent in Contemporary Dance from across the State. The 7-12 GAT Dance Program offers students the opportunity to specialise their education around a Dance Program that introduces them to the demands of the professional dancer utilising the Contemporary Dance genre.

Instrumental Music School Services
Hampton SHS is delighted to offer instrumental lessons. Many Year 6 students are already learning an instrument in primary school, so we are very pleased to be able to provide this continued service at Hampton SHS. Offers are open to beginner places for Years 7 - 12 following musical aptitude assessment and practical auditions. Additionally, those students currently learning an instrument privately can audition for the IMSS Program at Hampton.

Specialised Learning Program - Autism Spectrum Disorder
In 2023 Hampton SHS opened a Specialised Learning Program for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In partnership with Hampton Park Primary School, we were very proud to be the first schools in the new additional locations for 2023. The program provides specialist and intensive support to students with autism - without intellectual impairment - who have the capacity to learn at or near their academic year level standard with support but may have specific social and emotional development needs that are related to their autism.

Specialist Cheer Dance
Utilising the popular sport of Cheerleading as a medium, the Specialist Cheer Dance Program allows students to participate in a lively program that develops fitness, coordination and teamwork as a member of a Cheer Squad. The group participate in a range of State and National competitions.

Our Specialist Digital Technologies Program offers students the chance to develop and hone their digital technology skills through a series of programs across Years 7-10 leading into Computer Science in Senior School. Students participate in a range of competitions and have regular interactions with specialist presenters and mentors from various businesses and agencies.

Specialist Performing Arts
Our Specialist Drama program offers the opportunity for students to focus their studies on their dramatic pursuits from Year 7 to Year 12. Students have the opportunity to participate in specialist drama productions for parents and the community.
