With state-of-the-art facilities catering for Kindergarten to Year 6 students, Jilbup Primary School provides an inclusive learning environment for students to reach their full potential, both socially and academically. Our school has a Specialized Learning Program - Autism to support children with ASD to successfully access mainstream education. Our facilities include purpose-built science, art and music rooms, expansive oval, playing courts and a contemporary library and information centre.
Our unique and vibrant school is enhanced by amazing public art installations and will allow for adaptive and inspiring spaces both inside and outside the classroom. We are keen to share our facilities with our community to create a local hub where everyone feels welcome and a part of our inclusive community.
At Jilbup Primary School we have built a team of highly skilled and passionate teachers. Our staff have been carefully selected based on their experience, knowledge, skills and dedication to teaching and who have a genuine desire to bring out the best in every student. We believe that highly effective pedagogies based on research and science provide the best opportunities for our students to be successful learners. Our students will be highly engaged and motivated, developing a love of learning through mastery and success. Teaching will be engaging, relevant and based on sustained evidence to ensure all students make continual progress. Teachers will work collaboratively to ensure consistent approaches are implemented school-wide and instructional decisions are informed by collective student improvement data.

Jilbup Primary School is located on Whaduk Drive in Hammond Park. The streets surrounding the school are Jacaranda Road, Canary Drive and Grevillia Road. Nestled close to the beautiful Beeliar wetlands, the natural features of Thompsons Lake and Banganup Lake neighbour the site. The Nyungar name for Thompsons Lake is Jilbup meaning place of grass. Banganup Lake area in Nyungar is Toodjabubup, meaning place of mist. The Beeliar Boodjar (river land) was a frequent visiting place for Aboriginal people and still holds significant meaning for them today. We honour this past and feel very privileged to share this land with the traditional owners, the Nyungar people of Whadjuk Nation. We hope to continue to draw on the history of this land and honour the beauty of this area as we build a school of excellence were we kartajin danjoo (learn together).
