Hopetoun Primary School (5798)

School Overview

Hopetoun Primary was established in 2007, and is situated in the pristine coastal town of Hopetoun, on the edge of the beautiful Fitzgerald River National Park.

Hopetoun Primary School aims to provide an environment where students are supported to achieve their individual best through the use of whole school instructional strategies and providing for individual needs.

Hopetoun Primary Staff are enthusiastic and committed to improving the academic achievement and social and emotional wellbeing of all students, and do so through the implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum.

Our school vision, HOPE by the sea - Helpful, Organised, Persistence, Excellence, is embedded into our school's whole school planning and teaching practices.

At Hopetoun Primary School we are committed to ensuring the staff, students, parents and community work together to achieve our vision and continue to improve educational outcomes for all our students.

The school has well maintained facilities and provides up-to-date technology for all students to access. Students have access to Ipads, Notebooks and Interactive white boards which are networked with internet access in each classroom.

Hopetoun Primary School thrives on positive partnerships with parents in education and strongly encourages open communication to achieve our shared vision. Our school is actively supported by a committed P&C committee and School Council, with productive relationships with community members. The P&C continues to supports the students, in particular with the recently purchased mobile canteen, a vegetable garden 'Little Patch of Hope' and the extensive and continuing developing nature playground.
