School Overview


Settlers Primary opened in 2005 in the southern Perth suburb of Baldivis, approximately 45 kilometres from the city of Perth, Settlers Primary School is an Independent Public School and is one of four primary schools in a rapidly expanding southern corridor of WA. The second stage of Settlers PS was completed in April 2008, included four teaching blocks, music room and specialist art room. In 2011 with the Building in Education Revolution funding from the Federal Government, a further early childhood teaching block and specialist Science room was built. In 2023 our school holds a strong reputaiton of being a 'school of choice' in the wider Baldivis Community.

Settlers Primary School has a strong curriculum focus based on the use of High-Impact, Low variation teaching methods and consistent, whole school apporaches to literacy and numeracy. Our experienced staff work collaboratively to ensure that high quality instruction is apparent in all classrooms, every session. Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) underpins our student wellbeing and engagment philsophy, with students being explictly taught the values and expecations of our school community, in a proactive and strengths based manner.

Specialist programs offered include Indonesian, Science, Art, Drama, Digital Technologies and Physical Education.

Excellent parent / teachers communication is promoted through open door communication, open nights and parent teacher meetings. Our P&C and School Board are extremely committed and active in our community, with well run events and strong school governance visible at every level.
