Newman Primary School is a vibrant learning community located in the town of Newman in the East Pilbara region, approximately 1200 kms from Perth. Newman Primary School is ideally located adjacent to the central business area of Newman and close to many town amenities. We are an Independent Public School, enabling localised planning and decision making to improve the outcomes for all.
Newman Primary School provides a safe and caring environment where all students can develop the knowledge skills and confidence to achieve their potential. Our staff are committed to ensuring that all students are recognised supported and catered for. Students across the Kindergarten to Year 6 setting originate from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures including European, Asian and African. The school currently has a 25% Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander population. Our learning environment is enhanced by the support of BHP and its many community-based partnership programs. Our School Board and P&C committee work together with staff to support student development.

Our teaching programs allow all students to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to become confident learners in the 21st Century. We are proud of our reputation in offering a diverse range of subjects including Science, Technologies, Languages (Chinese), Health, the Arts and Physical Education which are taught by specialist teachers.
