MINGENEW PRIMARY SCHOOL
Nestled in the heart of the Midwest, Mingenew PS is an important and cherished part of the local community. With enrolments between 60-80 consistently over a number of years MPS caters for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. Surrounded by established and productive farmland with the beautiful seaside town of Dongara only 30 minutes' drive and the bustling regional city of Geraldton an hour away, Mingenew is a safe and vibrant community. Our students are supported by engaged families who are actively involved in their child's education and work in partnership with staff. The small staff team includes a range of experience and strengths that fosters professional collaboration and growth.
Mingenew Primary School engages positively with the wider education community in the North Midlands and the Midwest via network relationships, sporting competitions and common ground found with our neighbouring schools and communities. Staff work together to support the delivery of evidence based, high quality whole school programs including interventions. The collection of and analysis of data informs decision making to ensure that all students make progress towards proficiency.
Despite a small team Mingenew Primary School provides a range of opportunities for student to discover their strengths and interests. Sport, The Arts, culture and and emphasis on our local environment engage students' hearts and minds.
The school is well supported by an engaged and active P&C and school council, who provide feedback and advice to school leadership around the development of a strong vision for our school. At Mingenew we are very proud of our students and our community, and we have high expectations of ourselves and each other.
