School Overview

Manning Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive Independent Public School located in the City of South Perth. Established in 1936 as Canning Bridge School and renamed in 1951, the school has a rich history of educational excellence, becoming an Independent Public School in 2015.

Our school serves a diverse community, welcoming students from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, with many families connected to nearby universities. We value the strong partnerships we share with parents, who actively contribute through the School Board, P & C, classroom support, and events, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.

Set on 6.4 hectares of picturesque grounds, Manning Primary School offers state-of-the-art facilities, including air-conditioned classrooms, purpose built music and science rooms, a brand new library, and extensive sporting amenities. Our BYO iPad program for students in Years 3-6 ensures access to cutting-edge technology, preparing them with essential digital skills for the future.

We provide a broad range of programs to support every child's potential, including public speaking, instrumental music, and specialised opportunities in performing arts, visual arts, science, physical education, and Chinese language. Additional programs such as Primary Extension and Challenge (PEAC) courses and the River Rangers cadet program further enrich our students' learning experiences.

At Manning Primary School, we are dedicated to fostering academic, social, and emotional growth, empowering students to become confident, well-rounded individuals ready to thrive in an ever-changing world.
