Kewdale Primary School (5247)

School Overview

Kewdale Primary School, established in 1915, has a long history of academic excellence, community support and the provision of a wide range of opportunities to develop the skills, interests, and knowledge of all children in our care. Our moral purpose as educators of children is to use our expertise, reflection, and research-based pedagogies to enhance academic excellence and student wellbeing.

We offer a broad curriculum with a strong emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy, focussed on the achievement of Western Australian Curriculum outcomes. Specialist programs in Science, Information Communication Technologies, Music, Japanese and Physical Education enrich the school curriculum.

We believe there is a unique culture at Kewdale and this community spirit is evident immediately when walking into Kewdale Primary School. We value our community and its expectations, hopes, dreams and aspirations which form a strong support. Students, staff, and parents actively participate in establishing Kewdale Primary School as the pillar of the community that it has become, and are proud to invoke a sense of belonging and a lifelong association with the school. At school, we build on the foundation instilled by parents, and we encourage parents and carers to become actively involved in school life.
