School Overview


Welcome to Guildford Primary School. Established in 1833, Guildford Primary is the oldest continuously operating primary school in Western Australia. The school sits on Mandoon Whadjuk land and has been a place of learning for at least 40,000 years.

We are proud of our history as well as excited about the future. We aspire to develop capable, resilient, kind and positive citizens who value learning and strive to be their best. Our school community is united by our desire to give our students the best start to their educational journey possible.

We recognise our critical role in as educators in preparing students for academic success. We utilise evidence-based strategies to give every child the best opportunity to reach their potential. Guildford Primary School has a very active and eager parent community, and we maintain strong links to the broader community and past alumni.
Specialist programs are offered in Physical Education, Music, Science and Indonesian (this will be changed to Noongar Language in 2025. The school has rich sporting traditions and a strong student leadership program and voice.
