Fairview Primary School sits proudly in the historic coal-mining town of Collie, nestled within the picturesque Collie River Valley, 200 km south of Perth, Western Australia. The school is deeply connected to its community, maintaining strong relationships with Collie Senior High School and neighbouring primary schools, together with valued partnerships with families through the P&C Association and School Board.

Its hilltop location in the north-east of Collie provides a spacious, well-planned learning environment featuring:
- Eight senior and middle-primary classrooms
- Four junior-primary classrooms
- One demountable classroom
- A purpose-built library resource centre
- A technology and arts shed
- An undercover area, canteen and uniform shop supported by the P&C
- An Early Learning Centre for Kindergarten and Pre-primary
- Two large ovals and playing fields supporting active physical development
Fairview Primary School offers programs from Kindergarten to Year 6, with a strong commitment to inclusive education. A safe and predictable learning environment, built on positive routines and relationships, helps every child develop a sense of belonging and emotional security. A culture of care, respect and curiosity underpins learning throughout the school. The school motto, CARE â Cooperation, Achievement, Respect and Enthusiasm, is embedded in daily practice and reflected in student interactions, staff expectations and community engagement.
Staff demonstrate a strong commitment to explicit instructional practice. Teachers collaborate closely to maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour, supported by purposeful use of data and targeted intervention. This shared approach promotes consistency and clarity in teaching and supports strong academic growth across all year levels.
The Fairview community is deeply invested in enhancing the learning environment, both physically and emotionally. Ongoing improvements to the school's grounds and facilities complement whole-school wellbeing programs designed to build resilience, confidence and positive relationships. Students are nurtured within a safe and supportive environment that prepares them to become capable, respectful and engaged citizens of the 21st century.
