North Cottesloe Primary School is the only school in the local government area of the Town of Cottesloe. The school is well located, being on the Perth to Fremantle railway line and only a short walk from the ocean at North Cottesloe Beach. The school enrols students from Kindergarten to Year Six.

North Cottesloe's teaching and learning programs reflect whole school consistent and connected practice and explicit instruction.
Specialist learning programs at North Cottesloe include Performing Arts Music from Pre Primary to Year 6, Instrumental Music from Year 3 to 6, Visual Arts from Kindergarten to Year 6, Physical Education from Pre Primary to Year 6 and Languages [French] from Year 3 to 6. North Cottesloe Primary School has an established Choir program for Year 3 and a Vocal Ensemble for Year 4 to 6, with close to 100 students. The Performing Arts Music Program offers a Concert Band for Year 4 to 6 and a Strings Program from Year 3.
North Cottesloe Primary School hosts a PEAC Centre [Primary Extension and Academic Challenge] and there are a number of before and after school clubs and activities for parents to enrol their children into. These include Chess, Young Engineers, Keyed Up Music, Debating and Public Speaking and Sporting Clubs.
The school has a very supportive and active Parents & Citizens Association and the School Board provides a role of governance around the Public School Standards and the school's Business Plan.
The school was established in 1913. A recent building program has seen the development of a state of the art two storey senior block (Years 3 -7); an Early Learning Centre; Music, Visual Arts, and a Library Resource and Inquiry Centre. The covered assembly area offers an all-weather student venue, while the well-maintained grounds provide abundant lawn, play areas, and shade.
