School Overview

Welcome to Cottesloe Primary School

We seek Excellence in: Learning. Thinking. Character.
Our aim is provide quality education that will deliver excellence in learning, critical and creative thinking and strength of character for all students.

Cottesloe Primary School is a dynamic, public school with a rich heritage, strong traditions and identity. This history influences the development, operation and learning environment of our school. Last year the school and community recognised and celebrated the school's 120th year of serving the local community.

Cottesloe Primary School enjoys the well-deserved reputation as being a school of choice for families who live in the Peppermint Grove, Cottesloe and Mosman Park area.
The school also accepts enrolments from families outside these areas, if places are available. We are a small school by design which allows us to get to know our students and their families and respond to their needs quickly and effectively.

Our school strives to support students to achieve to their best academically, creatively and socially within and outside the classroom on Four Pillars of Success - Integrity; Respect; Perseverance and Kindness. We respond quickly and creatively to ensure all Cottesloe Primary Students are given the opportunity to have success.

There is no doubt our students are fortunate to learn in such a supportive, positive and engaging environment. Staff are privileged to be able to partner with parents and a community who is willing and able to help their children achieve to the best of their ability, achieving the goals described in our School Vision.

We have a highly skilled team of teaching and support staff, united in their goal to bring the best out in your child. In 2018 we focus on developing whole school strategies that will enhance the teaching and learning of writing, spelling and phonics. Staff are continuing to target numeracy and will be working, together with other experts, to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in this area. The Critical and Creative Thinking Enrichment Program is a highly regarded program running across the school.
