Broomehill Primary School (5065)

School Overview

Broomehill Primary School is a small, community-oriented school with 32 students from K-6. Students and staff are well known to each other and feel a sense of belonging and pride in their school. Broomehill Primary School is located in the Great Southern district of Western Australia twenty kilometres south of Katanning and approximately 150 kilometres north of Albany. Class structures can vary dependent upon student numbers - currently there are two Multi Age Group (MAG) classrooms, catering for Kindergarten to Year 2, and a Year 3-6 class. The school is set in attractive grounds surrounded by natural bushland. Our school is not only well-resourced but also rich in community spirit. Here, kids are free to be kids, exploring and growing in an environment that values curiosity, creativity, and kindness.

Our highly-skilled and dedicated staff ensure that children are given every opportunity to develop both academically and socially, giving them the skills to become confident and independent learners. We have specialist teachers in the areas of the Arts, Italian, Health and Physical Education, and Digital Technologies.

At Broomehill Primary School we recognise all students learn in different ways and provide a differentiated curriculum to cater for a diverse range of needs. Targeted, evidence-based programmes support students learning, with intervention for those who require additional support.

The school is highly regarded within the local community and takes pride in the positive relationships that have been established over time. Parent and community involvement is encouraged, welcomed and highly valued in our school.
