Mount Magnet District High School is in the heart of the Mid West region of Western Australia, approximately 560 kilometres north-east of Perth. The school and township are situated on Badimia Country, and many students and staff have strong connections to, and actively support, local language and culture. The school offers a Wajarri Language program, which, alongside Visual Arts, plays a significant role within both the school and the wider community.

Mount Magnet District High School currently caters for 96 students from Kindergarten to Year 12, standing for a range of cultural backgrounds and guided by clear, shared school expectations.
Literacy and numeracy are embedded as key components of everyday learning, with a strong focus on equipping students with the skills required for life beyond school. In the primary years, the Zones of Regulation are taught to support the school's Positive Behaviour Support strategies and promote self-regulation and wellbeing. Eligible students also access a range of learning opportunities delivered electronically, including the Primary Extension and Challenge Program and Senior Secondary courses for Years 11 and 12.
Dedicated staff foster respectful, trusting relationships with students and families, supporting parents and carers as active partners in their child's education. The school works collaboratively with external providers, including SHINE and Teach Learn Grow, to deliver specialised programs that enhance student engagement. Students also take part in health-focused initiatives such as the Edge of Nowhere program, which incorporates gardening and cooking healthy meals, further supporting wellbeing and life skills.
