Duncraig Senior High School caters for students from Year 7 to Year 12 and provides a caring, engaging and supportive learning community, which fosters a culture of excellence to produce resilient, life-long learners in a rapidly changing world. The Schoolis well known within the community for being an inclusive and caring education institution with a very supportive and active Parents and Citizens Association and School Board. We believe positive relationships are the key to success in individual ownership of leaning in striving for personal best in the celebration of excellence. Our highly skilled and experienced teaching staff provides a supportive educational experience for every child through a wide variety of subject areas and courses from year 7 to year 12. We also offer courses in French and Indonesian languages for all year groups. In addition, we have an extensive range of Vocational Education and Training courses in Senior School leading to a Certificate II, Certificate III and Certificate IV qualifications. Our equal success in both ATAR and VET subjects allows every student who attends Duncraig Senior High School to find their passion.

Duncraig Senior High School is a Department of Education Gifted and Talented Secondary Selective Entrance school, attracting outstanding academic students from outside the local intake area. Further to this, the school also offers:

* School Based Academic Extension (SBAE) Program - runs parallel to the Gifted & Talented program. The SBAE program is offered to other promising academic students who are not selected as part of the G&T Program. This program is offered to local intake students only.

* Triathlon Academy - accepting 5 out-of-area, high performing athletes into the sports program each year. The School has developed an excellent partnership with Triathlon WA. Our Duncraig Triathlon Academy has gone from strength to strength and is at the forefront of State and National competitions.

* Music - the School offers programs in symphonic wind ensemble, symphonic wind orchestra, Guitar and Jazz and is supported by Instrumental Music School Services (IMSS) teachers whol develop student skill, knowledge and understanding across a range of intruments.

* Bushranger Cadet Unit - boasting one of the largest Cadet Units in WA, our cadets are involved in a wide range of activities and experiences, ranging from sustainability to racing in pedal prix events.

Our Year 7 students undertake a special transition program that ensures that all students see the school as a safe space and students and parents meet with the large support team that caters for the well-being of all students.

Duncraig Senior High School boasts a dedicated Student Service Centre as the hub of the school. This extensive pastoral care system exists to support and guide our students not only on their education journey but to offer support on any other issues the students may face.

A strong emphasis is placed on the use of technology throughout the school. Duncraig operates a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program and students will participate in IT rich experiences in all areas of the curriculum, led by teachers who undertake ongoing training to create engaging interactive learning programs.
