Beverley is a town in the Wheatbelt Region of Western Australia, 133 kilometres south east of Perth.
Beverley District High School is an Independent Public School that has been providing quality education to students in our area since 1873. A Successful, Supportive and Sustainable school with beautiful grounds and historic buildings, we have a nature playground and space for play and exploration in a relaxed and stimulating environment.
In 2022, there are 173 students enrolled from Kindy through to Year 12.
Our Early Childhood Centre consists of 2 buildings and a large playground. Here our youngest students are introduced to formal education through play. Fostering their academic development alongside social and emotional regulation. We have a collaborative partnership with the Beverley Early Years Group, providing them with a space to run Beverley Playgroup.
Our Primary and Secondary wings are staffed by teachers and non-teaching staff with extensive professional experience and passion for education. We have moderate class sizes and are able to give all our students individual attention and care, providing differentiated learning experiences where applicable. Our Non-teaching staff provide Literacy Intervention Programs Mini-Lit and Maqlit for students requiring extra literacy support.
Beverley District High School enables students who are unable to access Year 11 and 12 at another school due to special needs or circumstances, to enrol with SIDE (School of Isolated and Distance Education), and provides computer access facilities and supervision to assist with independent study in senior secondary years.
Along with Literacy and Numeracy our students have access to specialist areas of education such as Art, Drama, Music, Design and Technology (Yr7-10), Instrumental Music (Year 5/6), AUSLAN and Physical Education.
Beverley DHS embeds SPARK, our Positive Behaviour Support Matrix, within every aspect of our day, both inside and outside the classroom. Encouraging our students to be SUCCESSFUL, PREPARED, ASPIRING, RESPECTFUL and KIND.
In 2021, Beverley DHS underwent a Public School Review, you can find our results by clicking the link below.
We value close relationships with our school families and encourage collaborative partnerships with parents and welcome new families to our school community.
