Located in Moora, only 172kms north of Perth, Central Midlands Senior High School is a vibrant educational community, offering a wide range of academic and vocational subjects for approximately 200 students from Year 7 to Year 12.
Central Midlands Senior High School students, staff, parents, the community and other stakeholders, strive together to provide an innovative, respectful and inclusive learning environment which enables all to achieve their potential to be responsible, proactive citizens. All students have access to innovative, flexible pathways for learning. One major attraction of the school is the small class sizes: a low student-to-staff ratio ensures plenty of individual attention and assistance, both in and out of the classroom.
Successful learning at Central Midlands Senior High School is achieved through the delivery of quality educational programs which catering for individual differences. Our school plays an integral role in the local community, working collaboratively with Moora Residential College, which is co-located on the education precinct, and can cater for 50 student enrolments. Students from across the state are able to board at the Residential College and also access the school's excellent educational opportunities. Strong partnerships have been brokered with local businesses, industry and the wider community to ensure the continued growth of our very successful Workplace Learning Program.
Staff at Central Midlands SHS are dedicated in supporting students to achieve their best. We offer a comprehensive senior secondary ATAR and General course pathway which includes both face-to-face and SIDE delivery models. The school has access to excellent facilities including a Trade Training Centre for Hospitality, Engineering and Automotive Certificate qualification pathways, and a range of other Certificate qualifications are available online, including the Certificate IV in nursing. Our focus on individual pathways endeavours to ensure our students are active community citizens who are prepared for future study, entering the workforce, and life after school.
