The following defines the local-intake area of this school-
From a point on the standard gauge railway line (Woodbridge to Kwinana Section) on the north west extension of Bickley Road, in a general southerly direction along the standard gauge railway line to the Perth-Armadale railway line, southeast along the Perth-Armadale Railway line to Austin Avenue, northeast along Austin Avenue to Davison Street, southeast along Davison Street to Hayley Street, northeast along Hayley Street to Ryelane Street, northwest along Ryelane Street to Marion Road, northeast along Marion Road to Stebbing Road, south east along Stebbing Road to Mandarin Road, north east along Mandarin Road to Wildfire Road, south east along Wildfire Road to Kelvin Road, northeast along Kelvin Road to Eva Street, and southeast along Eva Street to Maddington Road, north east along Maddington Road to Tonkin Highway, north north west along Tonkin Highway to the locality boundary between Kenwick and Maddington, south east along this locality boundary to Bickley Road, north west along Bickley Road to the standard gauge railway line.

The boundary parts of Austin Avenue (both sides), Davison Street (both sides) and Maddington Road (north side) are included within the area for the East Kenswick Primary School. The boundary parts of Hayley Street, Ryelane Street, Marion Street, Stebbing Road, Mandarin Road, Wildfire Street, Kelvin Road and Eva Street (both sides in each case) are excluded from the local-intake area for the East Kenwick Primary School.

The following has been declared as an optional area between the East Kenwick, Beckenham, Maddington and Thornlie Primary Schools:
From the intersection of Austin Avenue with Perth-Armadale railway line, southwest along Austin Avenue and its south westerly extension to the Canning River, generally northwest along the Canning River to the standard gauge Railway line (Woodbridge to Kwinana Section), northeast along the standard gauge Railway line to the Perth-Armadale Railway line, and in a general south easterly direction along the Perth-Armadale Railway line to the Austin Avenue railway crossing. The boundary parts of Austin Avenue (both sides) are included within this optional area.

The following defines an optional area between Wattle Grove Primary School and East Kenwick Primary School-
From the bridge carrying Welshpool Road over the railway line, south east along the locality boundary between Kenwick and Wattle Grove, continuing north east and south east along this locality boundary to Boundary Road, north east along the extension of Boundary Road to Tonkin Highway, south east along Tonkin Highway to the locality boundary between Kenwick and Maddington, south east along this locality boundary to Bickley Road, north west along Bickley Road to the railway line and north along the railway line to Welshpool Road. The boundary parts of Tonkin Highway (west side) are included within this optional area, and the boundary parts of Bickley Road (both sides) are excluded from this optional area.

Note
The local-intake area maps are based on a written description of the local-intake area (LIA) for the school as published in the WA Government Gazette.  Although the map closely represents the LIA description, for some houses near the boundary (especially on street corners), it may be necessary to refer to the written description.  The street address of a residence is used to determine whether that dwelling is inside a particular LIA.  While local-intake areas for most schools do not change from year to year, changes may be made to local-intake areas as required.  Such changes are published in the WA Government Gazette and subsequently the local-intake area map will be updated.
