The following defines the local-intake area of this school:

PARKWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL (Government Gazette Dec 1976)

The boundary for this school is as follows:
New High Road , from its junction with Nicholson Road, northwest along New High Road to High Road, west along Hight Road to Riley Road and south along Riley Road to the junction with Collins Road. The boundary parts of New High Road (south side), High Road (south side), and Riley Road (east side) are included in the area for the Parkwood Primary School.

The area bounded by High Road, New High Road and Metcalfe Road is to be an optional area between Parkwood Primary School and Bannister Creek Primary School (formerly Lynwood Primary School). The boundary parts of High Road (south side), New High Road (northeast side) and Metcalfe Road (northwest side) are included in the optional area.
The optional area between Parkwood, Bannister Creek (formerly Ferndale and Lynwood) Primary Schools published in the Government Gazette of 8 December 1976, P. 4660, is hereby rescinded. This area will henceforth contribute to Bannister Creek Primary School (formerly Ferndale Primary School).

Note
The local-intake area maps are based on a written description of the local-intake area (LIA) for the school as published in the WA Government Gazette.  Although the map closely represents the LIA description, for some houses near the boundary (especially on street corners), it may be necessary to refer to the written description.  The street address of a residence is used to determine whether that dwelling is inside a particular LIA.  While local-intake areas for most schools do not change from year to year, changes may be made to local-intake areas as required.  Such changes are published in the WA Government Gazette and subsequently the local-intake area map will be updated.
