The following defines the local-intake area of this school:

The boundary for this school is as follows:
From the junction of Central Avenue and Alexander Drive, southwest along Alexander Drive to Bradford Street, southeast along Bradford Street to Learoyd Street, southwest along Learoyd Street to Walcott Street, southeast along Walcott Street to Railway Parade, northeast along Railway Parade to the railway line, northeast along the railway line to Central Avenue and northwest and west along Central Avenue to Alexander Drive.

The boundary parts of Alexander Drive (east side), Walcott Street (north side), Railway Parade (both sides), the railway line (both sides), and Central Avenue (south side) are included within the area for Mount Lawley Primary School, while the boundary parts of Bradford Street (both sides) and the boundary street of Learoyd Street (both sides) are excluded from the area for Mount Lawley Primary School.

The following is an optional area between Mount Lawley and Coolbinia Primary Schools:
From the junction of Alexander Drive and Bradford Street, southeast along Bradford Street to Learoyd Street, southwest along Learoyd Street to Walcott Street, northwest along Walcott Street to Alexander Drive and northeast along Alexander Drive to Bradford Street. The boundary parts of Bradford Street (both sides), Alexander Drive (east side), Walcott Street (north side) and the boundary street of Learoyd Street (both sides) are included within the optional area.
