The following defines the local-intake area of this school:
From a point on the Indian Ocean coastline due west of the junction of West Coast Highway and The Boulevard, east to the aforesaid junction and continuing east along The Boulevard to Durston Road, north along Durston Road to Empire Avenue, east along Empire Avenue to the eastern north-south boundary of the Empire Avenue Reserve, north along this north-south boundary to Ednah Street, east along Ednah Street to Ailsa Street, north along Ailsa Street to Maisie Crescent, southwest, west and northwest along Maisie Crescent to Glenelg Avenue southwest along Glenelg Avenue to Brix Street, northwest along Brix Street to Quorn Street, southwest along Quorn Street to Weaponess Road, continuing west along Ken Street to Buxton Road, north along Buxton Road to the junction with Norman Street, west through the small reserve to the eastern end of Tandarra Place, west along Tandarra Place to Brompton Road, north along Brompton Road to Hale Road, west aong Hale Road and its extension to the coastline, and south along the coastline to a point west of the junction of West Coast Highway and The Boulevard.

The boundary parts of The Boulevard (north side), Durston Road (west side), Empire Avenue (north side), Ednah Street (north side), Ailsa Street (both sides), Maisie Crescent (both sides), Glenelg Avenue (both sides), Brix Street (both sides), Quorn Street (both sides), Ken Street (both sides), Buxton Road (both sides), Tandarra Place (both sides), Brompton Road (both sides) and Hale Road (south side) are included in the local-intake area of Kapinara Primary School.

The following defines an optional area between Churchlands Primary School, Kapinara Primary School and Woodlands Primary School:
From the intersection of Hale Road and Unwin Avenue, east along Hale Road to Lucca Street, south along Lucca Street to Tuscany Way, continuing south along Tuscany Way to Empire Avenue, west along Empire Avenue to the eastern north-south boundary of the Empire Avenue Reserve, north along this north-south boundary to Ednah Street, east along Ednah Street to Ailsa Street, north along Ailsa Street to Unwin Avenue, and north along Unwin Avenue to Hale Road.

The boundary parts of Hale Road (south side), Lucca Street (both sides), Tuscany Way (both sides), Empire Avenue (north side) and Ednah Street (south side) are included within the optional area. The boundary parts of Ailsa Street (both sides) and Unwin Avenue (both sides) are excluded from the optional area.

Note
The local-intake area maps are based on a written description of the local-intake area (LIA) for the school as published in the WA Government Gazette.  Although the map closely represents the LIA description, for some houses near the boundary (especially on street corners), it may be necessary to refer to the written description.  The street address of a residence is used to determine whether that dwelling is inside a particular LIA.  While local-intake areas for most schools do not change from year to year, changes may be made to local-intake areas as required.  Such changes are published in the WA Government Gazette and subsequently the local-intake area map will be updated.
