DARLINGTON PRIMARY SCHOOL (5138) (December 1972)

The following defines the local-intake area of this school:

Nelson Road, from the area referred to as Park Lands, north to the junction with Ryecroft Road and Hardston Road, northeast along Hardston Road to the junction with Leithdale Road, a line in a northwest direction from this junction to the junction of Newman Road and Ferguson Road, and north along Newman Road and its northerly extension to
Great Eastern Highway. The boundary streets of Newman Road and Hardston Road (both sides) and the boundary part of Nelson Road (both sides) are to be included in the area for the Darlington Primary School.

Children living in the area for the Glen Forrest Primary School and attending a Government school in 1973 shall attend the Glen Forrest Primary School, except that children who attended the Darlington Primary School in 1972 may continue to do so in 1973, and children from the Glen Forrest Primary School area entering Grade 1 in 1973 or later years may be admitted to the Darlington Primary School providing that elder siblings are then attending the Darlington School.

The following defines an optional area between Greenmount Primary School and Darlington Primary School:
From the junction of Great Eastern Highway and Waylen Road, west along Great Eastern Highway to a point on the southern extension of Stirling Road, south from this point to the western end of Pittersen Road, east along Pittersen Road to Camfield Road, east along Camfield Road to Waylen Road and north along Waylen Road to Great Eastern Highway. The boundary parts of Great Eastern Highway (south side), Pittersen Road (north side), Camfield Road (north side) and Waylen Road (west side) are included within this optional area.

Note
The local-intake area maps are based on a written description of the local-intake area (LIA) for the school as published in the WA Government Gazette.  Although the map closely represents the LIA description, for some houses near the boundary (especially on street corners), it may be necessary to refer to the written description.  The street address of a residence is used to determine whether that dwelling is inside a particular LIA.  While local-intake areas for most schools do not change from year to year, changes may be made to local-intake areas as required.  Such changes are published in the WA Government Gazette and subsequently the local-intake area map will be updated.
