AUSTRALIND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL (4146) (Government Gazette June 2014)

The following defines the local-intake area of this school:

From the intersection of the westerly extension of Pead Road with the coastline, east along the aforesaid extension of Pead Road, east along Pead Road (south side included) and the easterly extension of Pead Road to the gas pipeline corridor, south along the gas pipeline corridor to a point due west from the confluence of the Mornington River and Wellesley River, east to the aforesaid confluence, south along the Wellesley River to the Brunswick River, south west along the Brunswick River to the Australind Bypass, south and south west along the Australind Bypass (west side included) to the Collie River, generally west along the Collie River to the Leschenault Inlet, west across the Leschenault Inlet to The Cut on the coastline of the Indian Ocean and north along the coastline to the western extension of Pead Road.

The following defines the boundary for an optional area between Australind Senior High School and Harvey Senior High School:

From the junction of the Collie River and the Australind Bypass, north along the Australind Bypass (east side included) to the Brunswick River, north east along the Brunswick River to the confluence of the Wellesley River, north and east along the Wellesley River to the confluence of the Wellesley and Mornington River, east along the Mornington River to the bridge at Campbell Road, east from the bridge to the junction of the South West Highway and Sandalwood Road, east along Sandalwood Drive to Robinson Road, south along Robinson Road (south side included) to Hill Road, south east along Hill Road to the railway line, south east along the railway line to the locality boundary of Harvey and Collie, south along the locality boundary to the Collie River, and generally north west along the Collie River to the Australind Bypass.

Note
The local-intake area maps are based on a written description of the local-intake area (LIA) for the school as published in the WA Government Gazette.  Although the map closely represents the LIA description, for some houses near the boundary (especially on street corners), it may be necessary to refer to the written description.  The street address of a residence is used to determine whether that dwelling is inside a particular LIA.  While local-intake areas for most schools do not change from year to year, changes may be made to local-intake areas as required.  Such changes are published in the WA Government Gazette and subsequently the local-intake area map will be updated.
