Myths of country life

Research has shown that there are many myths and inaccuracies associated with people’s understanding of moving from the metro area to live and teach in country areas. People with little or no experience of life in the country will sometimes base their ideas and preconceptions on what is portrayed by the media or in films.

Find out what existing teachers discovered when they moved to the country. Their key message is, ‘Be prepared to think differently about living and working in the country.’
