Teaching vacancies

Teaching and administration positions become vacant at various times throughout the year. You can apply for positions in the following ways.

Placement Request

The Placement Request Form is an electronic request that you can submit to the Department for part-time or full-time positions in Western Australian public schools. With this form you are able to indicate what you would like to teach and where you would like to teach. The majority of teaching appointments are given through this method.

JobsWA

Some vacancies are advertised on the JobsWA website by individual schools or districts. These are positions where the individual is selected based on merit.

Mobility transfer

Mobility transfers provide permanent teachers, school administrators and school psychologists with an opportunity for professional growth through relocating to a different school or worksite.
