The former Staffing Directorate is now called School Staffing Services, reflecting a renewed focus on providing a high quality
staffing service to schools.
School Staffing Services includes:

Placement services for teaching staff and school psychologists;

Placement services for school support staff; and
-
The Housing and Transport Service.
Director General Sharyn O’Neill announced on 13 May 2011 some changes to staffing procedures for this year. The changes
are further steps in introducing greater choice and flexibility for all schools in selecting and appointing staff to meet
the distinctive needs of each school.
