Information for Permanent Teachers

Permanent teachers are considered for positions in accordance with the Department’s published policies and procedures. Teachers who have been granted permanency with the Department of Education may access permanent transfer on the condition that the service requirements relating to their substantive location have been met. These three transfer methods are:

• Central transfer (refer to Transfer Information)
• Mobility transfer (refer to Mobility Transfer)
• School Based selection (refer to School Select)

If a permanent teacher does not own a substantive location in a school, they are termed a permanent teacher who must be placed. These teachers may also access permanent transfer in three ways including:

• School Based selection (refer to School Select)
