ESL/LOTE Information

The English as a Second Language (ESL) Program within the Department aims to assist students whose first language is not Standard Australian English to become proficient in English in order to take an effective part in mainstream Australian social and educational activities.

The Language Other Than English (LOTE) programs are offered in the majority of Western Australian public schools. A diverse array of languages are offered in schools across the State.
