Keeping in Touch: Working with Alcohol and Other Drug Use

What:

Are you interested in a more effective and inclusive approach to working with student drug use issues in your school? Do you seek to promote and support student health and wellbeing?

This two day workshop offers school-based staff the opportunity to increase their knowledge and awareness around drug use issues and introduces appropriate ways to offer support to students as a school team. Intervention and support pathways guiding the management of drug use issues within the school and beyond will also be introduced. The information and strategies presented at this workshop are supported by two resources, Keeping in Touch - Working with Alcohol and Other Drug Use and Getting it Together: A Whole School Approach to Drug Education. These resources will be provided at the workshop. 

When: 8.15am—3.15pm for both days of the workshop.

A certificate of attendance will be presented on completion of the professional development workshop.

All associated costs including teacher relief are covered by SDERA. Workshops are scheduled at various times throughout the year.
