Keeping in Touch (the kit): Working with Alcohol and Other Drug Use is a resource that aims to develop staff confidence and competence in working with student drug use issues.

The resource offers information which aims to:

• promote understanding and increase awareness of drug use issues and how they may impact young people;
• develop knowledge, skills and increase staff confidence to provide students with support as relevant to their role;
• provide strategies, models and frameworks for engaging students, responding appropriately and for supporting students through school-based interventions and referral.

The resource is available through DEEWR, on CD-ROM from SDERA and can be downloaded from this website. It is also supported by professional learning workshops.

This is NOT a resource for use within the curriculum.
