New Applicant Screening
The Department’s Screening Policy requires new applicants who have been selected for employment or placement in a WA education facility to consent to the Department’s National Criminal History Record Check (NCHRC).
Criminal Record Checks obtained from any other agency, including the Police, cannot be accepted for employment or placement for legal reasons.

Criminal screening is the process of gathering relevant information in order to assist in making an informed decision about a person’s suitability for employment, or continued employment with the Department of Education and Training or a TAFEWA College.
