Port Kennedy Primary School (5742)

School Overview

Port Kennedy Primary School is an independent public school and opened in 1996 to serve a rapidly growing coastal suburb located within the City of Rockingham 55 kilometres south of Perth. Facilities consist of permanent classrooms in four block groupings, a music room, library resource centre, Science and STEM room, undercover area and canteen. The school is air-conditioned throughout. The school has well maintained gardens, play areas and adventure equipment, vegetable gardens and natural bush areas. There are two basketball courts. The large oval is a shared facility managed in partnership with the City of Rockingham. The school is well resourced to offer a broad inclusive curriculum. Our experienced staff are committed to teaching for impact, to improve the learning outcomes for all students.

At our school every child is given opportunities to be their best and experience personal excellence. We strive to create a culture in which every student experiences a sense of belonging to the school community. We run a Breakfast Club each morning in our Community Hub where all students are welcome. We focus our classroom, playground and whole school approach on the WA Positive Behaviour Support Model (PBS). Our core values are Be Resilient, Be Responsible, Be Respectful and Be Your Best.
