Marangaroo Primary School (5687)

School Overview

Marangaroo Primary is an inclusive learning community, working collaboratively to develop empowered, resilient, motivated and successful lifelong learners. We are a proud, inclusive Independent Public School located in the suburb of Marangaroo.

Marangaroo Primary School is a mainstream primary school with a Specialist Learning Program for students with Autism onsite. Our vision is Care Learn Thrive and we have high expectations for all within our community. Ensuring we have successful students is the reason we do what we do. Our positive behaviour expectations (Care for Yourself, Care for Others and Care for the Environment) are across the whole school. Every student is known to staff and we work together as a team, to ensure students realise their own unique place in our school and the world.

Our aim is to educate all students on becoming responsible for their own learning and choices in life. Marangaroo Primary School has strong leadership that is shared. Staff members are part of the school board, school improvement team and lead key curriculum areas. We focus on what matters most by reviewing progress and applying an intentional approach to the improvement of student achievement. Our strong pastoral care approach enables a strong connection to the community around us. We are fortunate to have an in-school chaplain who works with students in need. All families are encouraged to take an active part in their child's learning. We continually strive to achieve excellence and the right balance of academic, social and emotional support.
