Woodanilling Primary School (5481)

School Overview

Woodanilling is a dynamic, rural primary school located between Katanning and Wagin catering for children from Kindergarten to Year Four. The school opened in 1902 and continues to educate children from the community in small cohorts. Our main classroom and facilities sit in attractive grounds located on Willman land in the heart of Woodanilling township in the Great Southern Wheatbelt region.

Our students are motivated; our staff dedicated and our school nurturing. Committed staff build positive relationships to support our students to Learn | Grow | Succeed. Staff are developing whole school approaches using evidence-based strategies to maximise students learning. Students benefit from a multi-aged classroom, and are well-supported with individualised programs, authentic relationships and continuity of learning.

Woodanilling Primary School embraces the community and develops these relationships welcoming families to participate in school activities. The School Council and P&C are active and integral to the school community ensuring we work together to provide the best for our students.

This Business Plan was developed in partnership with the School Council and staff to set a clear strategic direction for the duration of the plan. Core features outline what we will do and what will be evident as we continuously improve in each focus area. The development of quality teaching, to increase students engagement, will be at the heart of all our practice. We hope you see that we are set to GROW!
