We are an Independent Public-School catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 with a clear vision and purpose focusing on excellence in teaching and learning. Our focus on Higher Order Thinking, Inquiry skills and collaborative learning opportunities assist us in preparing our students for their future.
Our students participate in a broad and balanced curriculum, including lessons delivered by specialist teachers in Physical Education, French, Art, and Music. Our extensive music program includes a school choir, band, orchestra, and instrumental tuition for selected students. Our excellent Physical Education program provides students with opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sports and competitions which contributes to their positive mental health and well-being. Several community groups also access our school facilities to provide additional opportunities for our students including tennis, piano, robotics, and outside school hours care provider (OSH).
A strong sense of community exists at Mount Pleasant Primary School and the relationships between students, parents and staff are based on care, mutual respect, and open communication in a safe and supportive environment. Our P&C (Parents and Citizens) Association contributes greatly to the development of our school in both spirit and resources and our School Board plays an important role in supporting decision-making in our school.
