Bullsbrook College (4066)

School Overview

A friendly, supportive school, our staff are known for their commitment to building warm relationships with their students whilst working persistently to get the best out of them.

The Department of Education's motto is 'Shaping the Future' and in our school we want every child to do their best because they are our future.

For this reason, the partnership between teachers and parents is very important and we will go out of our way to support a strong connection between school and home.

Bullsbrook, once a semirural town 20 minutes north of the Swan Valley, is a popular destination for new home buyers because of the expansion of urban areas up through the north east corridor. Our crest and banner links back to the beginning of our school in the 1950s in what was the small town of Bullsbrook. Our mantra, 'Side by side, beneath the Southern Cross, we strive and achieve' is informed by that crest and banner.

We want our children to be confident, proud and contributing Australian citizens who work with their teachers, families and each other to give their best so that they will become their best.

As a Kindergarten to Year 12 school, we service the community's educational needs across the primary and secondary years on a beautiful split campus.

Our primary teachers work in supportive and vibrant teams who know and care for every single child. Each campus benefits from the knowledge and resources of their colleagues throughout the school.

Our senior students have subject specialists in our Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) subjects and Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs. Those staff will counsel and guide students towards their aspirations. On campus and off campus programs are available to all senior students who are successful in their applications for these.

Our S-O-A-R acronym represents the values we promote in our Positive Behaviour Support program. (Safe-Organised-Active learners-Relationships). Our Student Services Team work very well to maintain high expectations for behaviour whilst also working proactively to support parents and children at stressful times. We are well known for our work with students with special needs whether those needs be emotional, social, cognitive or physical. We are proud that we have recently accessed significant training for staff to operate an Autism Intervention Program which commenced in late 2021 - and which we are excited about implementing for the start of 2022.

Parents are welcome to make an appointment to visit us for a tour of the school campus and/or meet senior staff to find out more about us. Don't hesitate to make contact.
