The boundary for this school is as follows:
From the junction of Anzac Drive and Great Eastern Highway, northeast along Great Eastern Highway to a point coinciding with the westerly extension of Speculation Road, in a general easterly direction to and along Speculation Road to Maxwell Street, south and southeast along Maxwell Street to Johnston Street, eastnortheast along Johnston Street to Millen Street, southeast and east along Millen Street to Ivanhoe Street, south along Ivanhoe Street and its extension to Anzac Drive and continuing therefrom in a southerly direction.
The boundary parts of Great Eastern Highway (southeast side) Maxwell Street north of Thorn Place (west and southwest sides), Ivanhoe Street (west side) and the boundary street of Speculation Road (south side) are included within the area for O'Connor Primary School, while the boundary parts of Millen Street (both sides) and Johnston Street (both sides), Maxwell Street south of Thorn Place (both sides) are excluded from the area for O'Connor Primary School.
The following is an optional area for O'Connor and South Kalgoorlie Primary Schools:
From the junction of Maxwell Street and Johnston Street, eastnortheast along Johnston Street to Phoenix Place, northnorthwest along Phoenix Place to Boomerang Crescent, westsouthwest along Boomerang Crescent to Maxwell Street and southsoutheast along Maxwell Street to Johnston Street. The boundary parts of Maxwell Street (both sides), Johnston Street (both sides) and the boundary street of Phoenix Place (both sides) are included within the optional area, while the boundary parts of Boomerang Crescent (both sides) are excluded from the optional area.

The local-intake area maps are based on a written description of the local-intake area (LIA) for the school as published in the WA Government Gazette.
