The following defines the local-intake area of this school:

BATEMAN PRIMARY SCHOOL (5519) (Government Gazette December 1992)

The boundary for this school is as follows:
From the junction of Murdoch Drive and Leach Highway, east along Leach Highway to the Kwinana Freeway, south along the Kwinana Freeway to South Street, west along South Street to Murdoch Drive, and in a general northerly direction along Murdoch Drive to Leach Highway.

The boundary parts of Leach Highway (south side), Kwinana Freeway (west side), South Street (north side), and Murdoch drive (east side) are included within the area fro Bateman Primary School.

The following is an optional area for Bateman, Kardinya and Winthrop Primary Schools for new families moving into the area or for families sending children to school for the first time. Children already enrolled at one of these schools may not transfer to another without the approval of the District Education Office or unless a change of residence places them within the boundary for one of these schools. The area bounded by Prescott Drive (both sides), South Street (north side), Murdoch Drive (west side) and Somerville Boulevard (south side).

Note
The local-intake area maps are based on a written description of the local-intake area (LIA) for the school as published in the WA Government Gazette.  Although the map closely represents the LIA description, for some houses near the boundary (especially on street corners), it may be necessary to refer to the written description.  The street address of a residence is used to determine whether that dwelling is inside a particular LIA.  While local-intake areas for most schools do not change from year to year, changes may be made to local-intake areas as required.  Such changes are published in the WA Government Gazette and subsequently the local-intake area map will be updated.
