The following defines the local-intake area of this school:

From a point on the Indian Ocean coastline due west of the junction of West Coast Highway and West Coast Drive, east from this point to the junction of West Coast Highway and West Coast Drive, north east along West Coast Highway to Karrinyup Road, east and south east along Karrinyup Road to Huntriss Road, north along Huntriss Road and its northern extension through Lake Karrinyup to North Beach Road, west along North Beach Road to Okley Road, north along Okley Road to the Reid Highway, east along the Reid Highway to the Mitchell Freeway, north along the Mitchell Freeway to Warwick Road, west along Warwick Road to Marmion Avenue, south along Marmion Avenue to Freeman Way, west along Freeman Way to High Street, and west along High Street and its extension to the Indian Ocean, and south along the coastline to a point on the Indian Ocean coastline due west of the junction of West Coast Highway and West Coast Drive.

The boundary parts of West Coast Highway (north side), Karrinyup Road (north side), Huntriss Road (both sides), North Beach Road (south side), Okley Road (both sides), Reid Highway (north side), Mitchell Freeway (west side), Warwick Road (south side), Marmion Avenue (east side), Freeman Way (south side) and High Street (south side) are included within the local-intake area of this school.

The following defines an optional area between Carine Senior High School and the Churchlands Senior High School:
From a point on the Indian Ocean coastline due west of the junction of West Coast Highway and West Coast Drive, east from this point to the junction of West Coast Highway and West Coast Drive, north east along West Coast Highway to Karrinyup Road, east and south east along Karrinyup Road to Huntriss Road, south along Huntriss Road to Sackville Terrace, west along Sackville Terrace to Holbeck Street, south along Holbeck Street to Scarborough Beach Road, north west and west along Scarborough Beach Road and its western extension to the coastline and north along the coastline to a point on the coastline due west of the junction of West Coast Highway and West Coast Drive. The boundary parts of West Coast Highway (south side), Karrinyup Road (south side), Huntriss Road (both sides), Sackville Terrace Street (north side), Holbeck Street (both sides) and Scarborough Beach Road (north side) are included within this optional area.

The following defines an optional area between Carine Senior High School and Balcatta Senior High School:
From the intersection of the Mitchell Freeway and the Reid Highway, south along the Mitchell Freeway to Erindale Road, east along Erindale Road to Boya Way, south along Boya Way to Odin Road, south along Odin Road and its extension to the Mitchell Freeway, south and south east along the Mitchell Freeway to a point due east of the southern arm of Birralee Loop, west from this point between the southern arm of Birralee Loop and Hertha Place to Odin Road, south along Odin Road to Barnes Street, west along Barnes Street to Huntriss Road, north along Huntriss Road and its northern extension through Lake Karrinyup to North Beach Road, west along North Beach Road to Okley Road, north along Okley Road to the Reid Highway and east along the Reid Highway to the Mitchell Freeway. The boundary parts of the Mitchell Freeway (both sections, west side), Erindale Road south side), Boya Way (south side), Odin Road (east of Freeway section, west side), Birralee Loop (southern arm, both sides), Odin Road (west of Freeway section, west side), Barnes Street (north side), North Beach Road (north side) and Reid Highway (south side) are included with this optional area. The boundary parts of Hertha Place (both sides), Huntriss Road (both sides) and Okley Road (both sides) are excluded from this optional area.

Note
The local-intake area maps are based on a written description of the local-intake area (LIA) for the school as published in the WA Government Gazette.  Although the map closely represents the LIA description, for some houses near the boundary (especially on street corners), it may be necessary to refer to the written description.  The street address of a residence is used to determine whether that dwelling is inside a particular LIA.  While local-intake areas for most schools do not change from year to year, changes may be made to local-intake areas as required.  Such changes are published in the WA Government Gazette and subsequently the local-intake area map will be updated.
