Information for Community Based Courses (CBCs)

Community Based Courses (CBCs), both government and non-government, may accept the full-time enrolment of a student in the year in which they turn 16 or 17 providing an appropriate form has been completed by the student's parent/carer.

More information about the roles and responsibilities of CBCs can be found in the brochure Changes to the Leaving Age (pdf brochure - 24 pages). Or you can just download the pages relevant to CBCs.

An overview of Community Based Courses, including the Provisional Standards and Guidelines and the Application for Endorsement - Community Based Courses, is available from the Department of Education Services website at www.des.wa.gov.au/pages/community_based.php

You can also contact a Manager Participation at your district education office for assistance.
