Corruption Prevention and Detection


Policy

1 Policy Statement

  1. Department of Education staff must not commit or be a party to acts of corruption.
  2. Department of Education staff must report any suspected corruption they are aware of or are made aware.
  3. Managers and school administrators must ensure mechanisms are in place within their area of control to:
  • assess the risk of corruption;
  • maintain internal controls that reduce or prevent the opportunity for corruption;
  • promote staff awareness of ethical principles and values according to the Department of Education's Staff Conduct policy and the Western Australian Public Sector Code of Ethics;
  • raise staff awareness about corruption prevention; and
  • facilitate the reporting of all corruption allegations.
