OVERVIEW OF CHANGES – NEW POLICIES

SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT DAYS AND OTHER DATES 2012

The school development days for 2012 have been published.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES - REVISED POLICIES

ANTI-RACISM

Minor changes have been made to the policy to reflect references to the Discipline policy which has been removed and incorporated in to the Staff Conduct and Discipline policy. The policy provides management practices free of racial discrimination and harassment including prevention and effective management of racist behaviour in work and learning environments for the Department.

WORKPLACE SEXUAL HARASSMENT

The Sexual Harassment Resolution for Employees and Students policy has been renamed Workplace Sexual Harassment. The policy has undergone a major review.
The policy affirms the Department's commitment to inclusive and equitable work and learning environments free of sexual harassment. This policy guides line managers and employees in the prevention and effective management of sexual harassment in the workplace.

HOME EDUCATION ADVISORY PANEL

Minor changes have been made to reflect the regional structure.

HEALTHY FOOD AND DRINK

Minor changes have been made to reflect the regional structure and updated documentation in relation to Anaphylaxis.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES - REMOVED POLICIES

DISCIPLINE

The Discipline policy has been removed and incorporated into the Staff Conduct and Discipline policy.

STAFF EXIT PROCESS

The document was removed from the Department policy website and the “Staff Exit Process (August 2011) Introduction” document is now housed on the Workforce Division homepage.

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES - GUIDELINES

GUIDELINES FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SHADE IN SCHOOLS

Provides advice on the installation of shade in general, including shade sails.

GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING VALEDICTORY LETTERS

Changes have been made to the guidelines to clarify with line managers that Valedictory Letters are not forwarded to Corporate Communication and Marketing and that only the Retirement/Resignation/Exit information form is forwarded.

PROTOCOLS FOR HOSING DIGNITARIES & SPECIAL EVENTS

Minor changes have been made to reflect the regional structure.
